The Nordic Dream
If you were to choose a Scandinavian country for your next vacation, we would wholeheartedly recommend Denmark! Danes are known for their simplicity and hospitality, always ready to share a drink, a stroll, or some advice.
Don’t be in a hurry, don’t rush to conquer the “Nordic dream”… Denmark reveals itself in the intimacy of its coastline or along the winding paths and charming alleys.
Bicycles, held dear by the Danes, are still the best way to enjoy the quality of life, the lush countryside, and the subtleties of the landscape. So, let’s hit the road!
What captivates us…
- We adore Danish cuisine, and the world does too. New Nordic cuisine is making waves – a return to roots, seasonal ingredients, and traditional craftsmanship – this is the winning recipe behind the acclaimed restaurant NOMA, voted the best in the world (book early, there’s a 6-month wait). But without any wait, you’ll find excellent Danish pastries everywhere, although, in this country, they’re called Vienna bread!
- Welcoming, brimming with charm, filled with cafes and small shops, royal palaces, historic landmarks, and avant-garde spaces – it expertly balances between past and future.
- We love Copenhagen… on a bicycle, of course! What could be better than a trip down memory lane?
- This opportunity awaits you at LEGOLAND! It’s a moment of nostalgia and relaxation guaranteed!
- Denmark is also highly regarded for its design. Functional and innovative, it’s a source of pride for Nordic creators. Two museums worth visiting are the Danish Design Center in Randers and the Design Museum Danmark in Copenhagen.
Recommended Activities
- Head to the province of Fyn to taste sea trout that you’ve caught yourself. Enjoy the serenity of the surroundings along a fjord.
- A flat country, fascinating nature, short distances between villages, and a bonus of 12,000 km of cycling paths – saddle up your bike like a true Dane!
- A getaway to Helsingør is highly recommended. In the heart of the Scandinavian Riviera and its magnificent beaches lies Kronborg Castle, one of the most famous Renaissance castles and the setting for Shakespeare’s great tragedy, Hamlet!
- The city of Roskilde has much to tell you. The Vikings have left their mark here, along with the resting places of 40 Danish kings and queens. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Roskilde is well worth a visit!
